This job encompasses instructing fire departments throughout the Sate of Texas on various subjects. The courses consist of Emergency Driving, National Fire Protection Agency 1500, How To Develop Standard Operating Procedures, and Emergency Vehicle Response Programs.
Responsibility to supervise personnel, fire suppression, hazardous material mitigation, command staff for three or more operational periods of large incidents, conduct prevention activities, and instruct personnel, pre-plan buildings, chaired the high-rise committee for policy development, plans orientation schedule for new hires and perform department wide training activities. This concentrated work effort consisted of numerous computer projects, dealing with the general public & upper city management, Weapons of Mass Destruction, National Incident Management System, and maintenance budget restraints.
This position manages budget and instructors for instruction during the fire protection recruit school. Contractual obligations are supervising personnel, tracking budget and making presentations for new budget trajectory, scheduling, teaching, developing and updating classes.
Supervise forty-five personnel, training activities and fire ground operations. Tasks specify scheduling of training, instructing fire related courses, personnel issues, policy and procedure development, council presentations and setting-up incident command, accountability, and rehabilitation during emergency scene mitigation.
Track budget expenses for the Fort Bend Rural Fire Prevention District #1, supervisor and implemented daytime paid fire fighter program. These functions consist of purchase of equipment, standard operating procedure development, payroll, training schedules, setting goals, issuing projects to personnel, reporting to numerous outside agencies, fire suppression, command activities, and prevention activities.
Functions were code enforcement and inspection, fire brigade chief, and chairman of the safety committee. These work activities consisted of identifying safety hazardous, enforcement of state and federal laws, public safety presentations including production of a safety video and new employee orientation training and development. Viewing and tracking of accident reports, making recommendations on safety violations to the safety committee, dealing with state and federal auditors and data accumulation and presenting new policies and procedures.
This title was a new position within the department analyzing training and safety needs. The work activities included establishing training schedules, instruction of personnel, maintaining inventory of protective gear, budget tracking, preparing lesson plans, and meeting state and federal guidelines, co-chairman of the city safety committee, developing and maintaining safety policies within city departments and conducted safety officer activities at fire scenes.
