About Roy Rumbough

I led the global accounting for two public companies, Lennox and Maytag, for fifteen years as the Corporate Controller and Chief Accounting Officer. I took early retirement from Lennox in 2017 and joined the accounting faculty at the University of North Texas in Denton, TX. Teaching accounting to young adults was the most rewarding thing I ever did in my entire career. I loved the atmosphere at UNT as well as the hard working students who were striving to find their career paths. It was hard to give up teaching but I wanted to transition to full retirement with lots of bike riding and hiking. I also find time to serve my parish, Prince of Peace Catholic Church, in Plano. Retirement is great. I highly recommend it.

I served as the CAO until 2006 when Maytag was purchased by Whirlpool. While at Maytag, I worked in Iowa, Tennessee, Indianapolis and Vermont in various finance leadership roles. In Vermont, I was the VP of Finance for the Blodgett Company, which was a subsidiary of Maytag at the time. Maytag was a great company known for financial discipline.
