But I am not a coder.In 2012, I closed my first million-dollar deal. But I am not a sales guy.In 2014, I quit my high paying job. But I am not a fool.In 2015, I got my MBA. But I am not a business executive.In 2018, I founded KARO Labs. But I am not an entrepreneur.So, what am I?A phrase that is often used to describe me is “Jack of all trades, master of some”.I am a generalist. I did not plan to be one. My personal and professional lives have unfolded in a way that I have developed a unique cocktail of varied skills. I would say I am an artist, a scientist, an engineer, and a designer in equal parts.Throughout my life, I have been asked to find my focus-area and specialize in it. However, I have always resisted this societal pressure.I believe in diffused thinking. If a person can utilize their fundamental skills, it makes them a true expert. Becoming an expert is about combining ideas that can fuel innovations. The key to finding these connections is by creating a framework of existing skills and applying them in diverse areas. A larger skill set often translates to a higher degree of expertise.So, what am I doing now?I am still searching for the Cinderella moment where all my skills can combine to create something beautiful and elegant. In this pursuit, I have co-founded a tech start-up in Berlin that believes equality, diversity, and innovation. This is the laboratory where we are creating Frankenstein’s monster.
