I am a senior ABAP consultant with 20+ years of experience. I am a genuine ABAP all rounder: apart from being an innovative senior expert on most major ABAP technologies, I have gained experience in several different roles within the ABAP world. I have worked as developer and team lead on several (greenfield) projects, but also as ABAP consultant within support organization.Next to that I develop websites and apps on top of SAP using OutSystems. Lead ABAP Consultant at Heineken's Centre of Excellence Technology. I advise internal SAP projects on ABAP design, architecture, build and delivery, thus increasing quality of new code delivery and arranging for a smooth transition to maintenance. Main focus is on Global Trade Management, combining ECC and SRM. I am also the main technical/functional troubleshooter when an error occurs in the complex GTM landscape, which involves more than thirty SAP installations, SRM, PI and Mendix.Outsystems specialist. I am leading an innovation initiative for a holistic buyer dashboard combining eight different source systems.

I am working on integration projects between SAP and Outsystems. Not only do I understand SAP's technical platform and am I able to produce top quality ABAP to connect SAP to Outsystems in (near) real time, I also understand Outsystems and can build front ends (web, app) using Service Studio 9.

I was the Team Lead for the ABAP teams (Netherlands, Poland and India) working on the implementation of SAP Automotive at Louwman Group, with a strong focus on ECC and CRM. Next to leading the teams, I wrote a significant amount of code, especially for CRM and the ECC portals. Techniques: ABAP OO, WebDynpro, FPM, MVC, Adobe, GenIL and BOL.

Contract with Heineken International as Lead ABAP Consultant, responsible for the quality of all ABAP code in Heineken’s common worldwide systems, encompassing more than fifty million lines of code spread across several ECC, SRM and CRM installations. I was in charge of defining the ABAP quality parameters and enforcing their implementation. My work involved validating designs and estimates and reviewing the code built by teams all over the world (e.g. India, Poland and Spain) working closely with the offshore teams. I have set up Solution Manager’s CCLM as a control tool and I am an expert user of the SAP Code Inspector. I have a strong focus on security and performance. I am also working closely with the Technical Architect to set up Heineken's ABAP strategy for the coming years, looking at new tools (ATC) and new techniques (SAPUI5, HANA)Apart from the quality control and architecture roles, I am also involved as Senior ABAP consultant in several global projects, working with ABAP, WebDynpro and FPM. I am working on MM, PP, PM, SD, FICO, HR and authorisation projects within ECC and SRM on Netweaver AS 7.01, 7.02 and 7.31.

Contract with MCB Business & Information Services. I was team leading the ABAP implementation for the full cycle implementation of SAP ECC 6.0 for MCB Netherlands, a steel manufacturer operating on the Dutch, German and Belgium metal market. Working together with the functional teams I was responsible for identifying and sizing all technical work for the project and coordinating its realization, both as an ABAP programmer and as the Development Streamlead. I have set up the development standards for the project, making OO and MVC the starting point for all new development. Modules: FI/CO, MM, SD, MM, PP, WM, QM, APO and SCM. Techniques: OO ABAP, BAPIs, BAdIs, Idocs, smartforms, enhancements, transaction building, ABAP proxies.

Senior ABAP programmer. I worked for several SAP clients in this position:Member of the Review Team of an SAP implementation at The Greenery. I was responsible for reviewing the bespoke ABAP programmes and presenting the findings to the Management Team. After the initial review I worked on organizing the implementation of the findings and setting up standards for future development.ABAP Developer giving post go-live support at Fortis Real Estate, including trouble shooting, mopping up conversion problems and doing new development. Techniques: OO ABAP, BAdIs, XML conversion, LSMW, smartforms. Modules: RE, FI/CO. Release: SAP ECC 6.0.Principal ABAP Developer for a greenfield implementation of ECC 6.0 for Waterdrinker, a plants wholesaler. I built brand new, highly interactive transactions in ABAP OO using MVC design. And also developed enhancements, BAPIs, BAdIs, Idocs, EDI, smartforms, Webdynpro. Modules: SD, MM, WMS, and GTM. I was the principal engineer for the project.

I was the teamlead for the ABAP and Smartforms part of the SAP Healthcare template. I was responsible for the quality of all bespoke programmes and forms It was also my job to train people in the organisation in maintaining and creating Smartforms.

Contract with Electrabel. I was an ABAP programmer supporting their merging three sales companies into one. I built conversion programmes (BIM, Idocs, BAPI, ABAP (classic and OO)) and adjusted existing programs and smartforms to cope with the new situation. I also worked on improving the automatic matching of bank payments. Modules: FI/CO and MM.

Contract with Schouten & Nelissen, the largest training company in The Netherlands. I was involved in the full cycle implementation of SAP across all divisions as an ABAP developer. As it was a small team, the work wasn’t strictly technical, but also involved specifying functional solutions and coordinating the implementation effort. I have built applications working with ABAP, SAPscript, Smartforms, BAPIs and OO. Modules: FI/CO, SD, MM and HR.

Contract with the BAM Group, a multinational construction company. I have been involved in several full cycle implementations for various European Group Divisions, both as a team lead and as an ABAP developer, working in Amsterdam and the UK. I built applications working with ABAP, SAPscript, Smartforms, outbound and inbound interfaces (Idocs, EDI), Function Modules, OO and IDOCs. Modules: FI/CO, SD, MM, PP, PM and HR.

Contract as an ABAP programmer with ABN AMRO Wholesale Clients in Amsterdam and London. Full cycle project involving the installation of an SAP expense ledger. It was my job to write ABAP programs for reporting, uploading master data, posting adjustments, etc. Modules: FI/CO.

During my time at IBM I worked on several internal legacy finance systems (A/R, General Ledger Interface Systems) and travelled the world for my work on several global projects. These were mainframe systems and I worked with PL/I, SQL, JCL, MVS etc. After that I turned to ABAP to broaden my skills.
