Internship Project: ’Cricket Timer’ Jan 2017–Sept 2017This practical project was a part of my internship with Tekt Industries, a Melbourne based technology design and product company. The system goal was to design a visible and sturdy time display that blinked and played an alarm every 30 minutes. Four Arduino units with Ethernet was used to control the sixteen 7 segment displays, the Arduinos all communicate with the Raspberry Pi to get the correct timing information. A real time clock (RTC) was also integrated into the whole system so the device can act as a stand alone unit withno internet connection.

I was comfortable presenting to a large class of (± 20 people) and developed a good rapport with the students. The Generator Container Units are all assembled in Jining, Shandong, China. My role as the Quality Inspector was to oversee and monitor the assembling process at the Chinese factory so the end product meets our clients’ quality standard and needs before shipping.I am fluent in both Mandarin and English which simplified the corresponding process between two sides. Daily reports were written so mistakes could be fixed early in time.

I was the site manager for one of our projects in a Sudanese Gold Mine. The Power Plant aimed to provide 24hr continuous power to the whole mine.
