Key responsibilities:• I maintained the organisation's social media presence using Hootsuite and prepared the charity's monthly e-newsletter via Mailchimp. • I managed external enquiries to the charity via their helpline, Social Media, email and in writing. • I provided PA support to the CEO, the Support Services Officer & Office Manager and the Campaigns & Fundraising Officer, including drafting communications, organising travel and meetings, project management for the team, conference preparation and assisting with fundraising events. Key achievements: • I improved the team’s work efficiency using a series of new spreadsheets to implement enhanced project management that is shared with the team.• I clarified messaging used in Social Media channels and e-mail campaigns to increase engagement.

Key Responsibilities:• In order to promote the Society, events and venue hire, I placed targeted adverts to deadline in a range of national and local newspapers and magazines such as The Argus, Sussex Life, Families, The Lady, Saga, Group Leisure and Your Sussex Wedding.• I introduced new Facebook, Twitter and Instagram profiles for the properties, implemented a content schedule to promote events.• I assumed responsibility for redesigning members’ magazine ‘Past and Present’, working alongside the Fundraising Officer and Membership Officer. I generated a new InDesign template, edited content, improved and standardised the layout and applied current branding. • In terms of PR I have researched and written copy for news press releases on upcoming events, contacting trustees, schools, business owners, staff, national and local newspaper journalists, and connections within Sussex tourism groups. At Lewes Castle, I helped to set up two press launches promoting the instalment of a new sound installation and production of sensory aids. • I have been responsible for keeping the Sussex Past website up-to-date, editing online content using CMS WordPress to update images, sound and video files, news and events. Key achievements: • I redesigned the Society’s property and membership leaflets. I artworked maps using Adobe Illustrator and incorporated more engaging images. As a result of my improved visuals, property leaflets were restocked at sites more frequently than the previous year. • I significantly raised the standard of the Society’s image archive by involving volunteers in photo shoots, ensuring both existing and new photos were high resolution, usable, relevant, easily accessible and on-brand images. • I developed new online channels for posting listings, introduced new Social Media platforms and planned consistent content. • I planned campaigns and met deadlines by using new content, advertising and budgeting spreadsheets.

Key responsibilities:• When the school’s newsletter became an in-house project, I put myself forward as editor. I created a new template using Microsoft Publisher. We decided the newsletter should be distributed twice a term and would be emailed to staff, governors and parents as well as being uploaded to the school’s website. I liaised with staff, pupils and parents for content. • To promote the school and its open mornings, I designed adverts using Microsoft Publisher for publication in local magazines such as Baby Surrey, Surrey Life, Families, independent school’s magazine Attain and local newspaper Surrey Mirror.• I generated brochures for prospecti packs and closely monitored stock levels.• I produced large-scale outdoor banners to advertise Open Mornings. I liaised with the local council to have one of the school’s banners displayed in the centre of Reigate.• I developed good working relationships with the Press, inviting newspaper journalists and photographers to principal school events. • I personally documented performances, workshops, assemblies, visits and sports days using both the school SLR and video camera.• Using CMS WordPress, I edited online content for the school website, uploading news stories, calendar events, sports matches, school policies, the newsletter and upcoming open mornings.• I sent bulk emails and texts to parents, staff and governors using online communication system Myclarioncall.Key achievements: • I took on editorial responsibility for the school’s newsletter introducing a new improved MS Publisher template.• I dramatically improved the standard of photography and design and content of promotional literature. • With the introduction of a new website and school database, I trained myself and other staff in their use and pioneered comprehensive user manuals.
