As Head of Operations within the Midlands region my role is to support and lead a regional team to deliver modular building solutions to our clients.

As Head of HSE for Algeco UK, I was responsible for leading the delivery of the organization's HSQE function across the UK, including all acquisitions and mergers into the group. In this role, I led a team of 10 safety professionals across the business group, and report at both the UK and Global board level on metrics and HSQE improvement programs.

As Interim Head of HSQE at FJ Church & Sons, I was responsible for overseeing the operational delivery and implementation and management of the organization's varied HSQE management systems within the waste processing site. In this role, I delivered process improvement and large-scale CAPEX R&D projects to maximize productivity and production of high-value metals from catalytic converter and non-ferrous recycling processes.

As Head of UK Operations at TVS Supply Chain Solutions, I was responsible for ensuring operational delivery across four UK distribution centers, handling over 2 million units per week. My role included overseeing the safety, quality, and facility management functions and delivering warehousing, logistics, and subassembly services to a diverse range of clients, including automotive, defense, beverage, and SMART metering clients such as MOD, Network Rail, Coca-Cola Europe, Diageo, BMW, Ford, and JLR.

As the HSQE Manager, I was responsible for leading a team of engineers and HSQE professionals to achieve the strategic goals of the organization and support critical nuclear infrastructure and defence projects across the UK, Europe, and the Middle East.

As the Group HSQE Manager, I was accountable for ensuring HSQE and FM compliance across three manufacturing facilities, distribution centers, and 20 retail outlets with over 250 employees, including field-based subcontractors and employed fitters, designers, and salespeople.

I successfully ran my own HSQE consultancy developing leads and delivering projects to employers across the UK. A key project within this role was the delivery of services to a national FMCG distribution centre in the North West; during this project I delivered Safety management training to over 100 of the businesses core managers and completed numerous site safety audits to assist in the continuing development of the businesses HSQE management systems.

Within the Senior Operations Manager position I was responsible for the delivery of contracted services to our clients including; National Grid, Scottish Power and numerous local councils and other private organisations. At this time I continued to hold responsibility for all HSQE functions within the business. A significant element of this role was Managing a team of other business professionals to deliver the vision and growth of the business, successfully delivering several high value tenders in excess of £6m and leading the bid teams in securing new business.A key project delivered within this project was the increase successful mobilisation of our National Grid grounds maintenance contract including rate negotiation, supply chain management and the TUPE of eligible staff from previous service delivery partners. This project was delivered on time with a smooth transition, gaining significant levels of praise from our clients.

I was responsible for leading HSQE functions and business improvement initiatives across a team of 100+ mobile high risk grounds maintenance workers.Delivering tenders and project plans to clients within large organisations such as National Grid and Scottish Power, acting as signatory on Permits to Work within Substations and Gas Distribution/Transmission sites. A key project within this role was the roll out of technology to deliver an effective HSQE management system to 100+ mobile workers allowing them up to date access to all elements of our accredited HSQE management system.

I lead a team of HSQE advisors ensuring safe practices were written and adopted across 7 high risk waste management sites and associated transport management spanning over 250 members of staff.I developed lasting relationships with the HSE, EA and Insurers to ensure we continued to lead the industry standards. Working with UCLAN I assisted in the design and creation of a Flat Panel Display treatment process which was recognised by the EA within their guidance for handling this hazardous waste stream. During this time I successfully set up and managed a contract with the National Offender Management Service (NOMS) to deliver a training and work experience programme to ex-offenders, this project attracted numerous awards for both the business and myself individually and continues to be successful to this day.
