About R. Patrick Lile

R. Patrick Lile is a filmmaker and spent the last decade as the Program Assistant and Business Administrator of Operations for Northwestern University’s MFA in Documentary Media. He produced the Kartemquin Films feature-length documentary, Unbroken Glass, that premiered nationally on PBS’s America ReFramed. Patrick was the Outreach Producer for the award-winning documentary, The Interrupters (2011) and served as a Production Assistant and Post Production Assistant on the Steve James documentaries Head Games (2012) and the Oscar short-listed Life Itself (2014). Patrick’s film Sportswriter (2013) was produced in fulfillment to complete his Master’s of Fine Arts at Columbia College Chicago and debuted at the 2014 Los Angeles All Sports Film Festival. Patrick spent two seasons as a Segment Producer for WTIU-PBS's Regional Emmy Award winning, Friday Zone (2001-2003). He served multiple roles including cameraman and sound recordist on the Regional Emmy Award winning documentary, Trouble No More: The Making of a John Mellencamp Album (2003), and was a researcher on Algren (2014) and Tony and Janina's American Wedding (2010). Patrick grew up in Merrillville, Indiana and is a Phi Beta Kappa scholar having graduated from Indiana University with a degree in Communications and Telecommunications.https://vimeo.com/rpatricklile/collections
