Currently I'm the president of the Italian Institute for the Future, the first non-profit think-tank based in Italy focused on anticipation, foresight and long-term scenarios: my effort is to promote a culture of anticipation in politics, business and in the whole society. At the Italian Institute for the Future I'm the editor-in-chief of "Futuri", our scientific journal, and my areas of specializations include technology forecasting, science policy, automation, future of job, existential risks. Previously, I worked for three years at the Fondazione IDIS-Città della Scienza, as a digital & science communication specialist. In 2015 I got a three-year PhD scholarship funded by INFN (the National Institute of Physics) in science communication at the University of Perugia. I've been science editor for Fanpage.it, a leading Italian digital newspaper, and today I work as a freelance science journalist. As an essayist, I'm the authour of eight books and hundreds of articles, papers and short essays. MA in International Relations, MA in History, PhD in Physics.

Since 2014 I'm the editor-in-chief of FUTURI, the Institute's journal (www.futurimagazine.it). My areas of expertise include the social long-term impacts of current and future technologies, job automation, existential risks, megatrend analysis. As a futurist, I'm a speaker and consultant for companies, institutions and NGOs. Among the projects I was in charge of, the annual National Futurological Congress, the Meetings of the Italian Futurists, the EU funded projects "Youth Committee for the Future", "T.A.K.E. PART" on digital democracy, and a project funded by the City of Naples: "Napoli Foresight Center" on the opportunities of Urban Digital Twins.
