I worked in three different locations at the Lewis Rec Center: Primarily a lifeguard, but also as Front Desk and Weight Room attendants. My responsibilities as a Lifeguard was to open/close the pool and make sure it was clean and safe for swimmers to use. I tested the PH levels and chlorine in the water as well as rinsed down the deck. I also kept a close eye on swimmers to ensure no one was putting themselves or others in danger. At the front desk, I would greet guests, collect ID's, clean the fitness machines, pick up any garbage around the facility, and many more small tasks. I also had the responsibility of opening the rec center in the morning, or closing it at night. In the weight room I would keep an eye on people who were using the free weights and ensure that the environment was always safe and clean.
