Highlights:-- Automated the manual process of converting clients’ custom format time series data (daily mutual fund prices) to the company database’s bulk uploading format, effectively reducing processing time by more than 90%;-- Semi-automated the process of updating the static data of the mutual funds in the company’s database by creating a bulk uploader; and-- Successfully worked on the Portuguese mutual funds market despite lack of knowledge of the Portuguese language.Responsibilities:-- Collection and processing of daily NAVPUs (net asset value per share) of more than 2,000 mutual funds;-- Computing for, analyzing, and comparing annualized, cumulative, and total returns of the funds in our database in order to identify the best performing funds every year;-- Classifying funds according to a proprietary global classification system based on risk, volatility, asset class, and investment objectives; and-- Collection and translation from Spanish to English of the funds’ static data.
