I am an experienced techie who started my first job in IT support over 20 years ago and found I had a natural aptitude for anything IT-related. I developed strong problem solving skills by usually being the last line of support. Through moving to a role with mostly outsourced IT, I learnt a lot about managing suppliers, contracts and services, as well as being the client who reviewed all the technical designs.But I'm not just a techie, and equally happy solving business problems and delivering solutions for a wide range of stakeholders: from Doctors and Consultants, to Business Managers and Directors, to engineers, elected members, and the public.
