Working as a Mechanical Engineer in the Hydrogen Systems business unit I was tasked with all aspects of the mechanical design of Hydrogen systems. Typically these are either gas compression skids or full turnkey Hydrogen Refuelling Stations.I was also tasked with completing the construction and commissioning of the flagship J2601 compliant Geno HRS range test bench. This was intended as a proof of concept and to allow the test of new equipment from vendors to assess their suitability as well as trial process improvements and optimisations.Additionally I support Technical Sales with the creation of technical tenders to client specifications.

As a Project & Design Engineer within the Pipeline Engineering I took on many different project tasks, mostly involving the development of solutions to unique client requirements. This included:Mechanical Design and continuous improvement of the ATEX rated PECAT semi-intelligent Pigging Tool.Development of progressive pigging campaign philosophies and equipment.Development of ambient isolation barrier solutions.Specification & Design of temporary pipework installations.Design of testing programs for product validation.Supervision of equipment refurbishment works.CFD and mathematical analysis to support engineering studies.Additionally as part of my role I was the Pipeline Engineering Internal Technical Authority of the Ambient Isolation Equipment product lines which involved the continuous improvement and development of internal training programs and literature as well as demonstrating the capabilities of the products to clients and third parties.
