I am a partner with Bignon De Keyser, a leading legal services consultancy, and work with professional services businesses on their management challenges. I have extensive experience working in law firms, in the Big 4 and with in-house legal teams. I provide advice to legal businesses looking for help to implement their strategy or dealing with governance issues and support a range of legal teams and businesses on optimising their operational functions, including legal technology. I also design and run an extensive series of training programmes for clients. I work with firms globally, from the very largest in the world to small and medium-sized enterprises.For 19 years I was at Herbert Smith Freehills, where I was responsible for a number of teams involved in the central management function of the firm, including Pro Bono & Citizenship, the Programme Management Office, Internal and External Communications, Management Services and Legal Operations (comprising Legal Project Management, Legal Process Improvement, Pricing, Innovation and Automation). My last role was as Chief Legal Operations Officer.Formerly, I was responsible for knowledge management at Herbert Smith, working closely with the firm’s Professional Support Lawyers, Library & Information and the Learning & Development team. I qualified as a solicitor in 1989 and worked as a professional trainer in law firms for 9 years.
