* Developed Java-based run-time execution environments for a variety of platforms: Blu-ray disk, MacOS broadband, OpenCable set-top-boxes (STB). These interpreted proprietary byte-code and bridged to native Java execution environment. Created advanced internationalized image-based fonts, resource management, text-wrapping algorithms, and GUI component rendering infrastructure. * Architected Ecommerce Partner Simulator to allow QA bring-up testing of components which conducted Ecommerce from embedded environments. Used Eclipse Modeling Framework (EMF) to develop Java and XML application elements using JPA/Hibernate for persistence and deployed over a variety of DBs. XML / XSLT used extensively to transform data and to drive EMF creation of Domain Specific Language (DSL) structures. * Active proponent of continuous process-improvement, helping to introduce and establish Scrum, Agile requirements analysis, lightweight toolsets, continuous build, unit test, Test-driven Development (TDD), Domain-Model-Driven Development (MDD). * Trained fellow employees (as a volunteer during lunch-hours) at all levels in Java programming language, use of Eclipse, and good development practice. * Created GUI and back-end elements for emmy award-winning MLB-Mosaic project

* Enhanced and supported all aspects of a production web application for the Health Insurance Industry using Java/JSP/Struts executing in Weblogic and Tomcat environments running over a Oracle DB using a proprietary XML-based persistence layer. * Utilized JUnit and continuous integration extensively. * Architected and added user audit log and data exchange infrastructure (using Reflection API).* Went from contract to full-time salaried from Jul 2005 to Mar 2006.

* Ported 3rd party application execution environment (precursor to ETV-BIF) to the Open Cable Application Platform (OCAP) JVM environment.* Implemented timers and tuning mechanisms. * Created various development engineering tools.

* Created prototype Java Swing network management GUI for award-winning server-farm management application. The GUI presented complex status indicators and click-through access to a variety of other server farm management elements. * Developed a full-featured server simulator (Jython) for use during bring-up test.

Consultancy specializing in coaching small to mid-size engineering process in the process of adopting iterative, competitive engineering practices including agile requirements documentation.

* Developed GUI elements, persistence and distribution mechanism for a Tivoli predictive failure analysis service in a Storage Area Networking (SAN) environment. The architecture (servlets and Websphere) served thin clients (browsers) via HTML, and thick clients via XML and custom UI widget Java libraries. * Implemented internationalized distributed messaging layer for embedded server firmware diagnostics enabling internationalized marketing of the product.* Created suite of test and productivity scripts and utilities for misc development environments.

S* Key contributor to product architecture and implementation for a suite of Storage Area Network (SAN) and RAID Management components based on Java, XML and the Common Information Model (CIM, CIMOM). * Spearheaded corporate strategic research and planning on CIM development to achieve increased market share. * Acted as liaison to SNIA and DMTF industry standards bodies. * Led team in development of prototype applications. * Redesigned a Windows-NT RAID Storage Management Utility using C++ Assembly and scripting. Achieved 30-fold increase in throughput allowing extended product life. * Added performance measurement and reporting facility and corresponding rich client GUI components to SAN RAID test application. * Architected and implemented closely integrated automatic stress and MTBF test suites. * Architected, designed and implemented both FW components and host-based SW test management components using C++/Assemby/Scripting and XML. These enabled rapid bring up of ad-hoc engineering tests during product development to achieve much faster time-to-market for the team. These components also served in the field for diagnosing intermittent failures. * Developed and/or enhanced a number of advanced device drivers using C and assembly language. These drivers were deployed in the VMS cluster environments and enabled access to network attached storage and locally-attached very high performance storage.
