Sylvia Runyon, veteran owner and founder of Runyon Photography opened for business here in Eastern North Carolina in 2009. Sylvia’s passion to create unique images began when she served in the Marine Corps as a Combat Photographer. Her education began in the military and has continued her studies through photography seminars and practical application. A very important factor to progress in the photography field. She has been in business for over 18 years and has photographed in many parts of the country to include an overseas duty station in Okinawa, Japan, with her husband and her two children. Sylvia provides a unique and quality photography service that allows the client to feel comfortable and at ease in creating a memory that they will value forever. Her services are geared to making her client feel welcomed from the moment you are introduced. Sylvia's style and area of expertise has evolved since returning from her 2nd tour in Japan. Sylvia will continue to provide professional headshots and work with beautiful women in high end portraiture.From 2011-2013, Runyon was a volunteer photographer for the Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep Organization. An organization that provides bereavement photography for families who have lost their infant in the early stages of life. Before her departure to Japan, She was involved in the community with creating charity driven events such as the Giving Tree for the Child Advocacy Center of Onslow County and sharing her talents through multiple groups in the area.
