My previous experience with water sensitive urban design (BSc thesis and Wellington City Council) and aquatic ecosystem management and restoration (Aalborg University) was an excellent foundation for this position.I executed a research project in cooperation with Dr John Cheah (Stormwater360) and Dr Robyn Simcock (Landcare Research), assessing permeability of established biofiltration systems in Auckland. Multiple systems were found to be under-performing, raising questions about the right way forward and how to handle under-performing systems.
