Employed on a temporary contract basis working on the development of new projects for new vehicle contracts. I worked with a team of Mechanical Engineers successfully completing design tasks, working within large scale assembly’s using the Solidworks package. The areas I worked on included the following,-Large scale 3D assembly’s-Creating 2D drawing packs for assembly of components to assist Production Operatives.-Packaging of multi-row seating, ensuring the layout is fully complient with the BS requirement.-Design of interior GRP panelling-Design of exterior sheet metal cladding-Creation of side glasshouse specification-Producing RealView renderings of the new vehicles in the Solidworks package to assist the Sales Teams presentation for customers.

At The University of Huddersfield i was selected to work on a Live Project with the Ford Motor Company. The aim of the project was to design a new functional concept vehicle. Key points of the project brief included maintaining Fords exterior design language and band values. Throughout the design process I liaised with Fords Design Team recieving feedback on my vehicle concept, followed by reporting directly to Ford's Lead Designer Paul Wraith on a monthly review basis to present my project developments.Project Skill Set:-Brand and Market research-Freehand sketching-Photoshop visualisation-3D CAD (Solidworks)-PDF presentations-Project Planning

Through The University of Huddersfield i was able to work on a live project with Morgan Motor Company. The aim of the project was to design a new 2+2 coupe to add to Morgan’s vehicle range. Maintaining the most recognisable aspects of Morgan’s brand DNA and values while showing a more modern direction for Morgan design. Throughout the project I liaised with Morgan designers receiving feedback on my design and presented the final design to Charles Morgan Managing Director of Morgan Motor Company.Job Responsibilities-Brand and market research-Sketch ideation and Photoshop visualisation-Clay modelling produced and developed for final design-PDF presentations produced to sell ideas and show project progress to Morgan Design Team-Working to tight deadlines set by industry.
