Responsible for overseeing and directing the Joy Global Inc., Supplier Selection and Qualification Process, Supplier Quality and Supplier Development initiatives and activities globally for all purchased and subcontracted goods and services.Establish strategy for supplier development utilizing operational excellence tools and initiatives to achieve Supply Chain objectives. In addition,establish processes, provide leadership and develop resources to work with various personnel within critical supplier organizations to influence and make process and other improvements.Author and implement Quality Policies, SOPs, Work Instructions, Forms and Templates surrounding the Global Quality Management SystemProvide Quality System consultation/coaching support to 22 Manufacturing/rebuild locations globally, establishing goals and objectives that meet and exceed industry standards that include; ISO 9001:2008 Certification/compliance, internal auditor training, customer satisfaction processes, data creation/collection and Process documentation methodsLead efforts to apply best practices and quality methodologies (Six Sigma, Operational Excellence) globally through the use of bi-weekly international conference calls, upgrades/improvements to quality planning processes and systemic Quality module upgrades within SAPPrepare, gather and report the status of the Quality Management System information that details; Cost of Poor Quality, audit progress, corrective/preventive action, supplier corrective actions, nonconforming material, warranty and improvement initiatives at the quarterly management review meetings.Develop budgets and operate within parameters established. Ensure department and company policy, processes and procedures are adhered to. Develop effective and measureable department and individual goals and objectives.
