Founding Information Technology Officer Goals and Objectives: Provide executive leadership as head of information technology service for the first public medical school in S. Florida (2009). Responsible for all aspects of strategic IT planning, implementation and support as the integral component for the medical school curriculum and student technology initiatives. Engineered classroom design for high-definition throughput for streaming and live broadcasts. Effectively introduced and integrated web-based technologies for both faculty and students. Major Accomplishments: Neighborhood Help - Used feasibility study to justify the purchase of 150 iPad devices for capturing both patient and student information while performing in-home assessments for clinical analysis. The study formed the rationale that using touchscreen technology would offset the manual paperwork necessary to capture patient information. This resulted in a labor cost saving of $250k. PantherLink: Provide Telehealth consults with rural physicians. RFP generated quotes ranging from $120-180K. I developed the application based on physician and end-user input. As a result, the application was built in house at a cost of $14,000 thus saving the CoM in excess of $100K. I also presented the proof-of-concept to the legislative body in Tallahassee and secured funding in the amount of $150k for 3 years, with further funding upon proof of success and rural physician adoption.Project management: I provided the IT infrastructure and staffing model to support both faculty and entering inaugural class of 2013 within 18 months. The ability to implement such allowed the CoM to receive provisional accreditation based on the completion of curriculum mapping strands to measure USMLE standard to CoM curricula, the implementation of tablet technology.Specialties: Specialties in healthcare, government, academics, and private sectors to include media advertising and overseas project management.

Director Client ServicesOrlando Regional Healthcare 2005 - 2007Orlando, Fl, UsGoals and Objectives: Overhaul Orlando Hospital’s client services department. Call time to pick and on-hold wait times were unacceptable compared to industry standards. Average wait time was in excess of 40sec. I installed call monitoring software Symposium to monitor, track, and display calls on overhead LCDs for all service desk technicians to view. I also reduced staff turnover rate by raising the hourly minimum and improving the quality of the staffing model. Implemented Computer Associates Service Desk using ITIL process flows for monitoring and tracking incidents, problems, change control, and root cause analysis. I also deployed Blackberry devices for all field support engineers – improved ticket counts by 200%. Major Accomplishments: Collaborated with the hospital CIO to design a centralized, metric-based, chargeback model for IT support for seven hospitals for all IT support services, generating an additional $1.7 million dollars. I also improved the level of service at each hospital by dedicating a field support engineer to each hospital, thus providing increased ticket closure at each location with improved physician support feedback. I developed metrics to measure SLA agreements for opening and closing tickets. Implemented full Service Desk ITIL procedures to include Self-Service model with knowledgebase for end users to search and query their own issues. Enhanced bedside support using Computer on Wheels (COWS) while utilizing online battery monitoring systems. The remote battery monitoring system allowed system administrators to contact charge nurses on each floor when the COWS were not plugged in or when battery depletion was reduced to 20%. This improved the level of service to all clinical departments with the assistance of an online self -service ticketing system, thus reducing the numbers of call to the Service Desk by 50%. -
