Provided systems engineering support for marine medium speed diesel engines for mechanical propulsion and gensets. Supported the first EPA Tier 3 engine delivery and Tier 4 emissions compliant engine control programs. Led harness and electrical integration design, implementation, and test for the engine team. Managed systems requirements and compliance with ABS, DNV, USCG, and other IMO and EPA regulations. Interfaced with various teams to manage requirements for engines and controls with regard to impacts to current engine deployments and supportability of engines in the field.

Led condition assessment and machinery information systems projects enabling Remote Monitoring of critical equipment and Condition-Based Maintenance (CBM) programs for several new ship classes in the US Naval fleet. Worked with cross functional teams to support all aspects of enterprise systems: architecture, product development, life cycle sustainment, system upgrades, security, customer service, and technical support. Provided on-site consulting pertaining to Condition Based Maintenance and related monitoring systems to NAVSEA Philadelphia.Installed remote monitoring and condition assessment system for hull, mechanical, electrical, and atmospheric systems on Virginia Class Submarines as well as various surface ships. Provided onsite training sessions to ships' crews on operation and maintenance of software and hardware. Identified new software projects and consequently conducted requirement peer reviews, development, test, and final installation to meet emerging needs. Instituted configuration management plan for software installed on multiple classes of naval ships. Employed analytics tools to identify issues and common failures with shipboard equipment.

Modeled the transmission system for asset management using load-flow analysis tools. Coordinated interconnection requests to provide renewable energy to the power grid. Developed circuit simulation models for conducting new generator interconnections for transmission systems. Analyzed the regional transmission grid which involved anticipating and preventing future overloads or system inadequacies both on a normal and emergency contingency basis. Initiated projects to increase infrastructure capability and reliability.
