Provided second and third level support to Central Office and Network Operations Center technicians on voice/data equipment in service provider network. Supported technologies include IPV4, GigabitEthernet transport, SONET, Gigabit PON, Frame Relay, ATM, DSL and VOIP. Identify systems trouble by examining system logs, alarms and errors. Provided network capacity data to network planning staff to ensure network capacity is properly managed. Performed system administration duties on Sun Solaris and Linux based element management systems. Provided Method of Procedures documents for technical staff during planned maintenance activities. Post maintenance test plans were properly implemented to ensure the network functioned properly.

Plan and execute capital budget strategies for anticipated and unexpected network growth. Develop and manage projects to ensure installation milestones are met and within budget. Provided detailed engineering procedures for Central Office technician staff to install new equipment in the central office plant. Managed backup power capacity for central office locations to ensure plant could maintain service for at least 24 hours without commercial power.

Servers included mid size and main frame systems for retail, financial, and hospitality businesses. Managed assigned spare parts inventories and expenditures. Developed and nurtured customer relationships to generate repeat business. Sold expendible supplies to assigned customers for NCR and other manufacturer's devices.

Perform second and third level maintenance on cryptographic equipment in tactical and communication center environments. Provided systems troubleshooting for messaging, voice and image transmission cryptographic systems platforms. After attaining the rank of sergeant, I managed a maintenance facility with 10 technical and 3 clerical personnel. Mentored and tutored junior soldiers in my shop and reduced maintenance turn around times from over 30 days to less than 5 days. Managed inventories of cryptographic material for a unit consisting of approximately 8,000 soldiers.
