As Solution Architect for Intercope (http://www.intercope.com) I've been directly involved in designing, deploying and support several major installation of MessagePlus/Open the Intercope's Business Communication platform. In particular I was the focal point for the two major accounts in Italy; Vodafone and Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena. Both installations makes use of varied and complex configurations ranging from the basic email integration up to DB and Web Services exchange gateways.

Hired by Cycos AG as Senior Sales Consultant for the Italian branch, my main occupation was supporting the Channel Managers in defining the framework of complex project and help them offering the right solution for scenarios ranging from Fax Servers up to UM, AUM and UC platforms including ACD, CTI or IVR implementations.

As Solution Architect, my focus was pure Presale supporting our Accounts for the successful closure of the ongoing projects. In particular my activity includes; taking place during the meetings with the prospect or customer, help defining with the counterpart the best solution based on their needs and infrastructure, jointly design a POC and action plan (who does what and when), over viewing the delivery phase up to the finally acceptance and taking care of the post sales follow-up. In these years I’ve taken part in many successful projects involving companies acting in a wide range of industries helping me understanding mechanism and business processes otherwise hardly accessible from the outside. Due to the nature of TOPCALL’s solutions, principally oriented to large Account and Enterprise I’ve directly taken part in designing and supporting or delivering (pre and Post Sale) some of the most successful deals in Italy.

Later on I was responsible for coordinating the Technical department in Italy including agroup of 10 technicians with mixed competences ranging from Unified Messaging and Business communications to Information Capture.

I’ve started my job in TOPCALL for the Technical department. Since company’s strategy was a pure direct market engagement and business processes oriented our daily work was a mix of Pre Sales and Technical support.

President and board member we start to develop a network of customers and partners. With a strong competence in Java and SQL we became a focal point in Italy for both SUN and Oracle partners. Later we also developed a good relationship with BEA. My daily activity was mainly of business development, engaging partners and end users. In 1999 I left the company in search of new challenges. K-Tech is still an active and flourishing company today (http://www.k-tech.it ).

Promoted to the rank of Lt. JG I was assigned to the Technical office under the command of Captain Roberto Canacci. During my tour of duty in Leghorn my activity was mainly focused on security in harbor area like inspection on board commercial and passenger’s vessels. In April 1994 I resigned from Navy Coast Guard and consequently assigned to the Navy reserve.

As duty Officer during my period at IMRCC I’ve taken part in a huge amount of SAR (Search and Rescue) activities with the responsibility of coordinating local and abroad operation in order to save human life at sea. In conjunction with corresponding authorities such asFrench, Spanish, UK and US Coast Guard our daily job was intended to grant a constant monitoring of traffic at sea and being confident with the usage of most commonly used apparatus like VHF, HF, VLF and ULF radios, EPIRB COSPAS/SARST systems and Inmarsat standard Charlie and Alfa (Voice and Typing). In November 1994 I was directly involved, as Duty Officer, in the rescue operation of the passengers and crew members of the Italian cruise vessel “Achille Lauro” sank offshore the Somali coasts.

I’ve completed the 87th Training Course for the Italian Navy Coast Guard Officers. In order to obtain the rank of Ensign the trainees are requested to pass different exams including; Navigation, Meteorology, Kinematics, Communications, Coast Guard technical operation services, International Maritime laws, Navigation Security and Anti-pollution techniques.

As deck crewman I’ve taken part to various search and rescue operations. When not at sea patrolling I was employed as radio operator at COC.
