Quantified the relationship between remote sensing and in situ data to measure the viability of designing a rainfall index insurance program in Northern Ethiopia. Final report was delivered to the United Nations Development Program in July 2011.

Reviewed the structural stability of an aluminum façade at a historic college; and recommended structural design for the enclosure of all buildings. Structural recommendations were implemented in 2009.
