In addition to being a recognized voice within the business community, the CIBPA took on the challenge of helping with… Show more As a former National President of the Canadian Italian Business Professionals Association’s National Federation (CIBPA), working with chapter presidents and members to expand the organization’s footprint and influence across Canada. The Canadian Italian community has always viewed education and community service as the road map to a better career and life in Canada. In addition to being a recognized voice within the business community, the CIBPA took on the challenge of helping with community-based fundraising for charitable causes and providing bursaries and scholarships to Canadian Italian students so they could get the head start required to prosper as Canadians. The National Federation of CIBPA’s has 10 registered chapters throughout Canada and through its 60 years has distributed almost $11 million to various Canadian community based charities and programs. Approximately $4.5 million of this amount has been donated to over 2,500 students of Italian heritage or students in Italian studies. Many of our donations have been to hospitals, seniors’ residences and students that receive provincial student assistance. With an aging population and the cost of a university and college education constantly increasing, we are pleased to make a difference. The CIBPA recognizes and supports a common theme of family values, good citizenship and education being the corner stones of success.
