- 𝙎𝙡𝙚𝙚𝙥 𝙀𝙫𝙖𝙡𝙪𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝘾𝙝𝙞𝙡𝙙𝙧𝙚𝙣 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝙇𝙚𝙣𝙣𝙤𝙭-𝙂𝙖𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙪𝙩 𝙎𝙮𝙣𝙙𝙧𝙤𝙢𝙚:Supported by the Lennox-Gastaut Syndrome Foundation, this study explores how sleep and seizures interrelate in children with Lennox-Gastaut Syndrome, a severe epilepsy form marked by multiple seizure types and intellectual impairment. Propofol might exaggerate airway obstruction, leading to less accurate diagnoses. The goal is to determine if dexmedetomidine provides a more accurate assessment of airway obstruction, potentially improving diagnostic and treatment outcomes for children undergoing adenotonsillectomy.- 𝙏𝙊𝙋𝙎-𝙎𝙏 (𝙏𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙩𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙤𝙛 𝙊𝙗𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙪𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙫𝙚 𝙎𝙡𝙚𝙚𝙥 𝘼𝙥𝙣𝙚𝙖 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝙋𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙡𝙞𝙯𝙚𝙙 𝙎𝙪𝙧𝙜𝙚𝙧𝙮 𝙞𝙣 𝘾𝙝𝙞𝙡𝙙𝙧𝙚𝙣 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝙎𝙢𝙖𝙡𝙡 𝙏𝙤𝙣𝙨𝙞𝙡𝙨)This study evaluates a personalized surgical approach for treating obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) in children with small tonsils. Participants will be randomly assigned to either a DISE-directed surgery or standard adenotonsillectomy (AT) and followed for 6 months. The hypothesis is that DISE-directed surgery, which tailors treatment based on individual anatomic features, will yield better outcomes than standard AT, as measured by improvements in the apnea-hypopnea index, OSA-specific quality of life, and other related factors.

- 𝙇𝙞𝙫𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙒𝙚𝙡𝙡 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝙇𝙮𝙢𝙥𝙝𝙤𝙢𝙖:Working alongside physicians in the Departments of Family Medicine and Hematology/Oncology to study whether the Fatigue Reduction Diet can decrease fatigue that starts or worsens after being diagnosed with lymphoma. My duties include recruiting/screening participants, scheduling study visits, reviewing clinical report forms, educating patients on healthy habits, handling blood/saliva collection kits, and collecting/maintaining primary data.

- 𝙀𝙋𝙄𝙉𝙀𝙏 (𝙀𝙖𝙧𝙡𝙮 𝙋𝙨𝙮𝙘𝙝𝙤𝙨𝙞𝙨 𝙄𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙫𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙉𝙚𝙩𝙬𝙤𝙧𝙠):Worked alongside psychiatrists Dr. Stephan F. Taylor, MD and Dr. Ivy Tso, PhD to examine the difference in effectiveness of psychopathology treatment delivered through telehealth as compared to clinic-based mental health services. The study was based at Indiana University under Dr. Alan Breier, MD, and also had branches at 4 additional clinics: Vanderbilt University, Tulane University, University of Rochester, and Northwestern University. My duties included auditing patient medical charts, coordinating patient and clinician visit schedules, monitoring patient survey responses, and other tasks essential to collecting/analyzing primary data.- 𝙋𝙨𝙮𝙘𝙝𝙞𝙖𝙩𝙧𝙮 𝙍𝙚𝙜𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙮:Phone screening process for psychopathology patients to be entered into a database and contacted to participate in future PREP Clinic research.
