Did Research on integration of wireless technologies like LTE, MIMO, small cells and 60 GHz with fiber optics communication systems including DAS and PON. Led several research and development activities successfully.o Created a state of the art optical and wireless test-bed to validate LTE, MIMO performance of wireless products. Wrote detailed test plans, defined system requirements, and managed the execution of product testing. o Expert in using test and measurement equipment like VSA, Spectrum Analysers, CRO, 3G/4G Base-station Emulators, Communication Analysers.o Led protocol and throughput testing on Corning ONE™ wireless platform and validated the performance for 2G, 3G and 4G using eNodeB and UE. Investigated the transmission of RF signals over a switched optical network. Developed a 10 Gb/s wireless link in the 60 GHz band using photonic modulation for IPHOBAC project.• Optical coherent communications:- Proposed and developed the use of optical coherent detection for radio over fiber wired/wireless integrated communication systems.- Performed research on advanced optical modulation formats (QPSK, 16QAM, OFDM) for >40 Gb/s wireless signal generation and transmission in the W-band of RF spectrum.• Silicon Photonics:-Developed a Silicon Photonics ring reaonator based microwave photonic phase shifter for QAM wireless signal modulation and demodulation.• Performed research on system requirements for Silicon photonics based microwave-optical devices. Designed a DQPSK wireless and wired communication system based on Silicon Photonic based device.•Mulimode Optical Fiber:- Investigated the performance of radio signal transmission in multimode optical fibers.- Studied the performance of a bi-directional RF signal transmission in MMF and analysed the effect of SMF to MMF and vice versa coupling related penalties.
