Developed a 10 Gb/s wireless link in the 60 GHz band using photonic modulation for IPHOBAC project.• Optical coherent communications:- Proposed and developed the use of optical coherent detection for radio over fiber wired/wireless integrated communication systems.- Performed research on advanced optical modulation formats (QPSK, 16QAM, OFDM) for >40 Gb/s wireless signal generation and transmission in the W-band of RF spectrum.• Silicon Photonics:-Developed a Silicon Photonics ring reaonator based microwave photonic phase shifter for QAM wireless signal modulation and demodulation.• Performed research on system requirements for Silicon photonics based microwave-optical devices. Designed a DQPSK wireless and wired communication system based on Silicon Photonic based device.•Mulimode Optical Fiber:- Investigated the performance of radio signal transmission in multimode optical fibers.- Studied the performance of a bi-directional RF signal transmission in MMF and analysed the effect of SMF to MMF and vice versa coupling related penalties.
