Tooling Specialist / Production Assistant - Precision CNC Managed input into design, layout and implementation of SQL database for Computer Numerical Control (CNC) tooling in multiple company locations. Migration of data from Access to SQL Database Duties Included: -Worked closely with IT data analyst to migrate from Access Database to SQL. One of the goals was fully automating data pull in and auto-populate of tooling setup and machining programming data. - Responsible for all setup and programs verification -Organizational control of all tooling and fixturing for Precision CNC group and well as Laser Fusion Optical group. -Developed laser marking plan with third party vendor for thousands of CNC cutting tools and fixturing.-Defined 40 years of tooling which had no functional data to determine where is was or what it was.- Developed Programming control and archive controls utilizing custom color coding by machining center. - Lean Manufacturing Team leader.Highlights:- Implemented Tooling Database system which led to a 55% reduction of redundant tooling. This resulted in a $10K savings in the first year.- Managed a Process Improvement Event (PIE) that resulted in improved visibility of upcoming jobs / requirements utilizing a visual scheduling board.- Designed and fabricated protective vertical storage systems for CNC tooling.- Implemented kitting process that reduced setup time by 40% and increased accuracy by 25%.

Troubleshoot production issues pertaining to process optimization. I was also on call to assist the clean room with any issues relating to optics processing. Dow-UT was a joint-venture company formed by Dow Chemical and United Technologies Corporation that designed and fabricated structural composite components for military aerospace applications.I worked within a small group that designed, developed and fabricated entire tooling string to support Commercial applications. - Managed and optimized production of composite bicycle wheel fabrication for Spinergy -Worked with Project Engineer on the process development and validation for Cannondale mountain bike rear swing arm. -Responsible for setup and run of production requirements on 4 and 5 Axis Horizontal Machining Centers. Machining of Resin Transfer Molding (RTM) composite parts for the B-2 Bomber, GE Fan-spacer, Thrust Reverser Cascades.
