Board and Advisory Council Member and Consultant Throughout his distinguished career at Lutron Electronics, Scott held senior leadership roles across Engineering, Marketing, Sales, Legal, Quality, Operations, Services, Communications, and General Management. During his tenure with Lutron, Scott was a member of the five-person executive team that produced consistent, largely organic double-digit growth through a strategic focus on innovation and market expansion. He is recognized for an exceptional record of building new product, market, and channel opportunities and turning around troubled operations. He also created long-term strategic plans and risk mitigation processes that established the framework for rapid growth in partnership with leadership and the board of directors. Among his many roles at Lutron, Scott was tapped to lead new initiatives, including building a Sustainability function focused on climate and environmental impact, and transforming the services business, capturing 50% growth, expanded profitability, and enhanced customer satisfaction. Scott has served on the Board of Governors of National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA) – the trade association for the electrical industry – and as a member of the Executive Committee. He was also a member of the Advisory Committee for the Boy Scouts of America, Minsi Trails Council. As a board member, advisor and consultant, Scott brings a focus on strategy and long-term planning. He also lends his insight and experience identifying and mitigating risk and creating a continuous improvement process. Scott holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He is a named inventor on eight patents.
