I am the Corporate Safety Manager for SSOE Engineering and Architectural Group in Toledo OH. We are a full service design, engineering, architectural, construction management company with offices in China, India, Mexico and the US.

We provide short term rescue standy services with trained, experienced firefighters with medical background. Our team is highly trained in technical rescue and most are members of the USAR (Urban Search and Rescue Team) for Region 1 Ohio. Each member has the OSHA 30 hr training and multiple other courses. We offer site safety, medical and rescue to customers on short term, high risk projects.

We provide hands on training on confined space and fall protection to employees at your location using a simulator and extensive training. Our classroom training meets or exceeds OSHA standards. The simulator we use is a 32 ft enclosed trailer that allows employees to work in a safe confined space representing both horizontal and vertical spaces as well as the use all of the equipment typically used in a confined space. The simulator also allows us to teach hands on classes with fall protection allowing students to be in a harness and setup different types of protection. We have the ability to teach not only safe work but also rescue from confined spaces but also from falls. We use state of the art equipment and simulation to enhance our training. Our trainings are about 40% classroom and about 60% hands on training. We travel to your location to teach your employees thus saving you money and travel all over the US. CSTS also offers other safety trainings, consultation, audits and compliance for various issues. We teach OSHA classes for industry, construction, mining and emergency.

Provides safety consultation, OSHA assistance and various training to approximately 220 Union construction contractors with approximately 9,000 trades' people represented. Gives OSHA assistance to employers including inspections, informal hearings and Notices of Contest, accident investigation assistance, fatality investigations and general questions. Managed the day to day operations of the association's computers, websites, purchased supplies, building maintenance and phones. Guest speaker at numerous functions and events for public and private. Annually taught 5 to 7 OSHA 16 hr courses, 3 to 5 OSHA 30 hr courses, 10 to 15 First Aid / CPR / BBP classes, 3 to 5 4 hr Annual Refreshers, 2 to 3 MSHA 8 hr classes, 3 to 5 Forklift classes, 10 to 15 Confined Space classes. Coordinated and assisted in development of the Northwest Ohio Safety Database that tracks Union workers safety training on line. Coordinated industry wide OSHA Partnership. OSHA Challenge Coordinator for the Voluntary Protection Program (VPP). Familiar with Industry Safe and DBO2 tracking software. Implemented industry wide 4 hour annual refresher for safety training. Worked to develop online safety training for Northwest Ohio contractors. Assisted in the formation of the Midwest Drug Consortium representing 7 states and a common goal. Assisted in the development of the online drug free workplace training. Developed and shared an annual Power Point program "What is Happening in Ohio Construction", that showed statistically the fatalities in each region of Ohio, Region V OSHA and Nationally in construction along with trends, citations commonly issued in all three geographic areas and presented findings annually for BWC Safety and Health Congress with over 115 attendees and also at other engagements.

Provides safety consultation, OSHA assistance and various training to approximately 50 Union construction electrical contractors with approximately 2,000 trades' people represented. Gives OSHA assistance to employers including inspections, informal hearing and Notices of Contest, accident investigation assistance, fatality investigations and general questions. Supported the Union with questions and answers of their industry. Was the only safety instructor offering apprenticeship and journeyman upgrade training in courses in OSHA 16 hr, OSHA 30 hr, First Aid / CPR / BBP, Aerial Lifts, Forklifts and general electrical safety. Guest speaker at numerous functions and events for the industry including presenting at member meetings to owners. Assisted the JATC with establishing unified safety training, NFPA 70 E implementation and tracking of safety training. Member of the NECA / IBEW Local 8 Safety Committee.

Performed jobsite safety audits, training and OSHA compliance for the four companies owned by The Mosser Group (a full service general contractor doing over 115 million annually, a steel erection company, a non union general contractor firm and an equipment rental company). Supervised, coordinated and advised safety compliance for the companies and all subcontractors on all projects. The primary company, Mosser Construction, Inc. completed projects from small commercial remodels to large multi story commercial buildings to water and waste water facilities to heavy industrial and bridge work. Completed accident investigations of all managed companies to assist Risk Manager, Handled all OSHA inspections and represented company's interest at OSHA informal hearings. Supervised and managed two other Field Safety Officers daily that performed jobsite safety audits, training and OSHA compliance. Represented the company on numerous Safety committees and functions across Ohio. Purchased and managed Safety equipment for company. Monitored jobsites with Industrial Hygienist for environmental concerns. Implemented monthly deficiency report of Safety to subcontractors. Developed an extensive trenching and excavating program and inspection guide book. Developed an extensive confined space entry program and trained employees in entries.

Performed construction safety audits, safety program development / implementation, workers compensation cost saving measures, and educational information on loss control assistance for various Ohio employers in Montgomery County Ohio. Assisted companies with accident investigations as needed and represented BWC during the investigations. Consulted with numerous types of contractors from residential to commercial and all sizes. Worked with numerous contractor groups and associations to assist their members with questions or problems. Taught OSHA 10 hr classes to contractors and their employees. Guest speaker at local and regional events.
