Manages the Emergency Management Program and assures compliance with Federal standards, procedures and processes. Coordinates Reclamation's Emergency Action Plans, Area Office Incident Reporting and Duty Officer Program, local wildland fire management program, Continuity of Operations, and on-site dam operator training.Analyzes data and determines requirements, develops solutions, establishes goals and objectives, and provides implementation procedures to meet the needs of site-specific facilities with in the area office. Identifies resource requirements to ensure integrated response capability, and coordinates with the Regional Office, Federal, State, county and local emergency management officials on overall facility preparedness, exercising, training, and implementation issues.Implements and administers effective accident/incident response capability within the Snake River Area. During actual or simulated emergency operations, establishes the incident management team to perform emergency operations to save lives; establishes command and control; identifies hazards; and mitigates hazards within installation capabilities.Leads the Snake River Area Office exercise development program; implementing, evaluating, and providing exercise improvement benchmarks within the area. Perform project management in collaboration with Feeding America's national disaster services team.The Disaster Coordinator works closely with the State Director, Feeding America, and eight (8) Feeding America food banks in Iowa on two primary functions: 1) assess the disaster risk and capacity in Iowa, 2) develop and implement a disaster response, relief, and recovery plan for the IFBA and assist in the development of a plan for each of the eight food banks. Primary Function #1: Fostering relationships with the Iowa food banks, partner agencies, stakeholders, and other disaster service providers in Iowa.Coordinate statewide meetings to engage in discussion around disaster risk and capacity.Conduct and document a risk assessment for each of the eight food banks.Primary Function #2Develop and implement the disaster response, relief, and recovery plan for the IFBA and eight Feeding America food banks.Assist in the development and documentation of disaster response, relief, and recovery plans for each food bank and coordinate the plans to address common risks and needs within the state.Engage stakeholders and other disaster service providers in the development and implementation of a statewide disaster plan.Coordinate with local and state emergency operation centers for additional input on the aspects of mass feeding and their plans.
