 Research different software and hardware platforms for use in the E-learning Centre. Research best practices and device a strategic implementation plan. Establish a working relationship with the necessary stakeholders, including other universities and tertiary institutions already using e-learning as a learning method. Install and run a WEBCT server as preferred platform at the university, Write workflow and protocols. Write and implement registration of students and lectures procedure, Training of lectures in creation of online/electronic material and to use WebCT as platform. Help departments interested in online learning to create an implementation plan, workflow etc. Compile budgets and project plans. Create strategic and Action plans for rollout to all departments.. In 2006 I started to implement a Document Management System for UFS Research numerous software and hardware applications; as well as current implementations in South Africa and abroad. I was responsible for the Implementation of Imagenow as a Document Management system. I conducted the rollout for the Department of Finance, Human Resource and the Medical Faculty of the UFS. I also influenced the School of Management to embrace this technology to help them to provide a better service to students. I was instructed to write job descriptions and job critical skills for the scan personnel. I also hired the necessary personnel for the project.

Software support in all software applications used by the UFS, Pelenomi, Universitas and National Hospitals. The installation of networks and network software -e.g. establishments, including network systems that are run by Novell, as well as a Windows NT Server, Installation of Peer to Peer Networks. Rendering advice to the different departments, i.e. Information Technology and applications in order to promote or to ensure that specific solutions are implemented. Installation of printers and scanners and other specific hardware designed for research purposes that are linked to computers technologies for the purpose of data analysis (e.g. Chromatography). Installation and setup of modems (ISDN Lines and Routers). Installation and setup of internet software, including Internet Explorer, WSFTP (and other FTP software), Archie, Netscape, Microsoft Mail, Pegasus Mail en Telnet. Course presentation for personnel in terms of above software. Support on Convex Unix. Presentation of courses in Excel, Word, Access, Power Point and Windows OS, Internet Explorer, Windows Mail Applications Drafting and evaluation of course material for course presentation. Introducing network software in terms of the following protocols: - TCP/IP, Netbeui, IPX/SPX.
