Since 2010, we have developed an industry recognized training and education program called the Certified Voluntary Benefits Specialist® (CVBS) and recently added two additional certifications will be introduced in Q3 2017, the CVBA (Certified Voluntary Benefits Associate) and the CVBP (Certified Voluntary Benefits Professional). These professional certifications and designations require 7 to 20 educational modules depending on which certification is selected. In order to maintain certification after the required training, all three designations must complete 5 hours per year of continuing education credit to stay up to date with the best practices and standards in the industry. This can be engaged online or during our annual Healthcare Congress. The CVBS, CVBA and CVBP curriculums are comprised of 20+ core programs, including but not limited to: ERISA, ACA, Product Designs, recent legislative updates and basic, intermediate and advanced programs . Courses contain 50 minutes of educational material and 10 minutes of Q&A per module. The certifications and course curriculums can be provided to you at your workplace, virtual and at the annual Voluntary Benefits Association Conference.

A multi-term elected Mt. Laurel Township Fire Commissioner and have served since 1999. During my terms in office, I have served as Board Chairman for 12 of these years and the other years as Treasurer and Vice Chairman. As Executive Vice President and Voluntary Benefits National Practice Leader, I directed all activities relative to Voluntary Benefits Sales, Strategy, Enrollment, Carrier Relations and Product Development. With my 30+ years of industry experience and access to innovative products, enrollment solutions, project management and carrier markets, my objectives were to help benefits brokers and consultants succeed. I was also responsible for AGB's 5-year strategic growth plan.

While serving as the National Growth Leader, my teams objectives were to satisfy the diverse needs of large employee populations. The Employer Benefits Business served clients from a consolidated benefit portfolio platform. With customized voluntary benefit solutions that addressed a wide variety of needs and individual risks, we helped employers retain existing employees, recruit new talent, and foster the work/life balance that their employees appreciate. From 2010 through 2012, we increased new sales revenue by over 400%.

The NJ FIRST Joint Insurance Fund is responsible for insurance management for member fire districts throughout the State of New Jersey. The Fund is responsible for all liability and workers compensation claims and administration. I held dual positions as a Fund Commissioner and Vice Chairman of the Executive Board.

As the National Practice Leader, I had P&L responsibilities and directed all activities relative to Voluntary Benefits Sales, Strategy, Enrollment, Carrier Relations and Product Development. As a start up practice, we increased annual revenue in the millions of dollars.

Responsible for all New Business Development and growth strategies. Managed carrier relationships, strategic projects and marketing concepts. In addition, I was a top producer in client cross selling activities and was a member of the USI elite Pinnacle Club.

Responsible for all company operations including sales, marketing and finance. Organizational top line revenue growth increased from $300k in excess of $3.5mm. We developed one of the first variations of the FSA debit card and enrolled 100k+ FSA members on the debit card platform.

Responsible for all activities relative to company operations for FSA, COBRA and Self Funded Health Plan Claims services. Additional responsibilities included all high profile sales activities.
