Since 2010, we have developed an industry recognized training and education program called the Certified Voluntary Benefits Specialist® (CVBS) and recently added two additional certifications will be introduced in Q3 2017, the CVBA (Certified Voluntary Benefits Associate) and the CVBP (Certified Voluntary Benefits Professional). These professional certifications and designations require 7 to 20 educational modules depending on which certification is selected. In order to maintain certification after the required training, all three designations must complete 5 hours per year of continuing education credit to stay up to date with the best practices and standards in the industry. The CVBS, CVBA and CVBP curriculums are comprised of 20+ core programs, including but not limited to: ERISA, ACA, Product Designs, recent legislative updates and basic, intermediate and advanced programs . Courses contain 50 minutes of educational material and 10 minutes of Q&A per module. The certifications and course curriculums can be provided to you at your workplace, virtual and at the annual Voluntary Benefits Association Conference.
