About Ryan Hutcheson

I'm an analytically-minded data professional with a background in automation, data pipelines, and business intelligence. I have experience solving complex business cases by combining disparate datasets to provide novel insights into strategic opportunities, and often work cross-functionally to ensure the data needs of my business partners are adequately met. My career has provided many opportunities to develop a strong understanding of financial planning and supply chain operations, both of which provide valuable color to the more technical role I serve. My professional passion revolves around two primary nodes: data socialization and self-service analytics. In my current role as Manager of Automated Reporting & BI Development at Smurfit Westrock, I lead a team of highly talented data specialists who help build tools that empower the individuals in our supply chain to make educated decisions. I firmly believe that everybody in an organization can be an analyst with the right resources available to them, and my group is dedicated to the development of analytical applications, interactive data visualizations, and automated insights that serve in that capacity. We work hands-on to ensure that our data infrastructure is setup so that all parts of the business have the data they need whenever they need it.I lead through a people-forward approach and believe that teams function most effectively in an open and collaborative environment. I feel that learning is a lifelong journey, and as such I challenge those I work with to ask questions, seek answers, and never stop growing. I like to lead by example and I look forward to continuing that quest for growth myself as I explore new opportunities in my career.
