Driven Entrepreneur | Intuitive Leader | Award-winning Marketing ExecutiveDuring my earliest filmmaking days and while producing broadcast campaigns for brands like Panasonic, Tanqueray, and Pringles, a strong entrepreneurial drive was evident. In 2006, I broke away from the traditional ad agency world and co-founded innovative content agency Hiccup. Several years after scaling and diversifying the business, I successfully merged with full-service marketing agency DRUM. Initially, I served as Chief Growth Officer and later President of the 170-person firm, winning and building relationships with pillar clients like Cigna, JP Morgan, and United Airlines. While at DRUM, I worked with and led some of the most talented, inspirational marketers and multi-disciplinary teams. People who stepped up to unique challenges and stood strong under the pressure. Together, we collaborated to:- Define new audiences and leverage data/research/insights to engage and convert prospects- Build innovative strategies, particularly for financial/fintech brands including several niche spaces (derivative products, asset management, mobile trading & investing)- Assist with product development/UI/UX, launch, and expansion to new audience frontiers- Develop enduring creative & content campaigns and experiences for Fortune 500 brands (Winner Gold Clio, DigiDay, Content Marketer, Communicator, Hermes, FCS Gold, W3 & Webby)- Build agile content studio teams for "always-on" brands and publishers- Construct, manage and optimize multi-channel distribution/media strategies - Form trusted partnerships with clients focused on results, revenue, and LTVIn April of 2020, with several trusted colleagues, I launched Summer Friday — a new strategy, creative and content boutique that thrives at the intersection of big ideas and nimble execution. How nimble? Well, we stood up the firm in seven days. And in fewer than two months, we had commitments from several Fortune 500 brands.Outside of agency life, I collaborate with leaders and entrepreneurs in an advisory capacity. Some of the most fulfilling experiences in my career have been in working with small business owners and larger business leaders to: - Build strategic growth plans - Overcome branding and positioning challenges- Structure acquisition/retention programs- Formalize business development practices- Raise capital and assemble advisory boards- Successfully navigate M&A transactionsand finally, outside of the office completely, I enjoy cooking big Sunday meals with my wife and three children on Long Island. :)
