-Conceptualized the Center for Career Development and Experiential Learning as a more effective method for delivering post-secondary career services and work-based learning experiences, secured $25,000 in cash contributions and $125,000 in in-kind contributions as start-up capital, and developed processes for service delivery as well as unique programming from scratch. -Oversaw four of the college's key programs related to accelerated workplace-centered learning, experiential learning, corporate training, and job placement. -Consulted with business/industry clients to design and implement customized training solutions, work-and-learn experiences, job placement, and employee retention strategies. -Served as the college's key point-of-contact for economic and workforce development initiatives, including service on regional chamber of commerce and economic development authority boards. - Aligned the employer clients learning management systems with the college's credential programs for a seamless transition to credit-bearing programs of study. - Developed the state-wide model for the delivery of college credit for prior experience, known as the KCTCS PLACE program (Prior Learning Accelerates Credit Earning).-Greatly increased the college's service to incumbent workers and employers by creating the tuition reimbursement scholarship, called the Jump Start Scholarship, which paid for the first six credit hours of an employee’s tuition, enabling them to overcome the initial financial hurdle of paying tuition and more fully utilize their employer-paid tuition benefit.

-Designed supportive services and educational programming for a cohort of 50 dislocated, incumbent workers, or unemployed individuals for a U.S. Department of Labor funded training program that was geared toward employing Registered Nurses in medically under-served areas of Kentucky.-Served as interim director for the 2-million dollar grant project, ensuring the growth and sustainability of the program. -Acted as the liaison for the grant program in the community, detailing the program’s successes to the media, to regional community groups, and at conferences.

-Elected to serve the more than 9,000 citizens of Maysville as the youngest city commissioner in nearly 40 years, with a platform focusing on economic development, increased investment in the tourism sector, and city branding.-Oversaw an annual budget of over 12 million dollars and a reserve fund of over 9 million dollars, in addition to serving as chair of the audit committee.-Assisted in the recruitment and hiring of five new administrative-level personnel in 2016, including the top administrative position of City Manager.-Led efforts to reinstitute curbside recycling, to save four circa 1830’s buildings, to renovate neighborhood parks, to institute stringent codes on blighted properties, and to incentivize business expansion. -Decided not to seek re-election in order to concentrate more fully on career in higher education/workforce development and to complete doctoral degree. -Experience in managing/overseeing large budgets along with experience in the private health care sector led to chairmanships of the City of Maysville Financial Audit Committee and the Maysville-Mason County Ambulance Service Committee.
