Preparing ingredients and meals in a busy, locally-acclaimed restaurant while ensuring food safety, quality, and consistency. This role required promotion of calm, clear, and task-focused communication with coworkers and supervisors.Having returned to hospitality after an extended hiatus--due to the continuing COVID-19 pandemic, and during which I completed my undergraduate degree--it became clear after a relatively short time that my continued professional development would be best served by customer-facing work, which this position simply didn't require. In consideration of that, I decided to prioritize my professional development, and so voluntarily left on good terms after giving my manager an extended window of time for hiring a replacement, whom I personally trained.
