Maintenance Engineer - Central Plant Maintenance Dept. and Pulp MillResponsible for mill wide and departmental plant engineering activities though the central maintenance and pulp mill maintenance departments, respectively. Daily duties include: identifying mill maintenance requirements, capacity constraints, and overall building systems, preparing recommendations for improvements or equipment replacements to management, and supervising maintenance and contractor crews during shut downs and new equipment installations. Capital and expense projects include the design and implementation of cost saving programs, improving machine efficiency, new equipment installation and existing equipment optimization. Other responsibilities include project management of capital equipment installations of up to $1MM, from scope of work, to contracting, materials procurement and final documentation. Many of these projects focused on, and continued to develop, my skills in pumping and piping systems. These systems ranged from small condensate pumps, to multiple pump farms of progressive cavity pumps, and high-pressure water systems.
