Rowan is the founder of Accendio, an economic development consultancy championing social entrepreneurship and systems change. He has co-founded several start-ups, lectured business strategy at the University of Cape Town for 8 years, and his commitment to transformative change has been featured in Forbes Africa. Following postgraduate studies in accounting and finance, he completed his MCom in Economic Development at the University of Cape Town in 2018 where he researched mental health and social decision-making.During his studies, he co-founded Phaphama SEDI, which links student advisors with township-based businesses for mutual learning. More recently, he co-founded The Sparks Programme, which employs graduates of Phaphama SEDI to gain skills and experience in impact and social entrepreneurship.
