United for Healing Equity (UHE) is the policy and organizing arm of Common Justice. UHE aims to build the collective power and capacity of communities of color to ensure healing equity and to catalyze systemic change to support every community’s inherent right to heal. UHE believes that healing equity will exist when everyone who experiences violence, particularly those who have been marginalized, have the resources, relationships, and power they need to be well and thrive.

HealingWorks is a national learning collaborative for people working with young men of color who have been harmed by violence, and their communities. As the National Director, my work entails promoting a national healing agenda for young men of color who are survivors of violence nd expanding the HealingWorks network throughout the nation.

-Develop strategies for evaluating program effectiveness that include implementing assessments, collecting data, and measuring outcomes.-Lead and supervise more than 40 full and part-time staff members, student interns, and volunteers.-Responsible for facilitating and coordinating staff professional development workshops and trainings.-Fiscal manager of 1.8 million dollar budget.-Oversee programs at multiple sites serving 350 5th to 12th grade students enrolled in the Albany City School District, charter schools, and private schools within Albany County.-Coordinate community-based partnerships and develop frameworks for inter-organizational collaboration.-Oversee the development of grants submitted to the New York State Education Department and other public and private entities.

-Developed strategies for evaluating program effectiveness that include implementing assessments, collecting data, conducting focus groups, and measuring outcomes.-Lead and supervise more than 20 staff members, student interns, and community volunteers.-Coordinated and facilitate staff professional development workshops and trainings-Managed a budget of 1.2 million dollars.-Oversaw afterschool programs serving 230 at-risk middle and high school students enrolled in Schenectady public schools.-Coordinated community-based partnerships and develop frameworks for inter-organizational collaboration.-Oversaw the development of grants submitted to the New York State Education Department and other public and private entities. -Created and implemented two afterschool programs within alternative public schools that provide socio-emotional support and aim to positively influence self-efficacy and self-esteem. -Designed a summer enrichment program focusing on 21st Century skills such as career exploration, college exploration, leadership development, youth empowerment, and community service.
