Richard Stang co-founded Business Innovation Group to help companies realize rapid business growth by Mastering the Innovation Process. As Managing Director, Richard has over 18 years professional experience in technology and product commercialization; pilot program and beta test development and execution; national and international strategic sales and business development; channel partner creation, development and implementation of fully integrated marketing plans; project management; and strategic planning for companies ranging in size from start-ups to international organizations.

Primarily responsible for negotiating and documenting all strategic licensing and sales programs, operational management and compliance, and acting as lead negotiator for two private equity financings.

Richard was a member of the executive committee to the state of Rhode Island’s Economic Development Corporation where he was personally responsible for formulating and implementing business development initiatives in the technology, energy, insurance, and financial services industries, overseeing project management of several high profile development projects, and acting as the corporation’s legislative and governmental liaison.

Outside legal counsel to RI Economic Development Corporation ("RIEDC"), which activities included drafting and lobbying for legislation related to mission and activities of the RIEDC and development of RIEDC's Quonset Point/Davisville Commerce Park, including conversion of this facilities steam plant into a co-generation facility.

Energy and Business Law Attorney working on various energy project development and energy project finance and business law transactions. This included representing developers of several combined cycle, gas-fired, cogeneration plants financed through long-term power purchase agreements with public utility companies.
