Senior Data And Systems Analyst
CurrentAt the beginning of my career at Elections Canada I was fortunate to have a wide range of tasks on the SVRS project; analysis of system reports, management BI dashboards, KPI monitoring, international voter registry processes, electoral event initialization, security grid / user privileges, and system codes. On an ongoing basis (particularly during a By-election or General Election) I maintain, analyze, and validate electoral data for a variety of Alternative Voting Methods (AVM) units (i.e. Enquiries, Outreach - Special Initiatives, Canadian Forces). Concurrent to those duties, I also produce reports and /or documentation with respect to electoral systems, processes, and products. During the 42nd General Election I was given additional responsibilities managing staff and processes associated with the SVR- ERS (Special Voting Rules-Event Results System). I also actively participate on various senior level committees within the agency; the Electoral Systems Integration Testing Committee, Electoral Data Integration Group, the Elector Management Advisory Committee, the Data Management Centre of Excellence, and the Event Action Task Force (EATF).I was selected for an acting role as the Data Quality and Testing Supervisor with responsibilities for the Threat Risk Assessment (TRA) application process in 2009, and fulfilling other AVM supervisory duties in September 2011 and September 2012. Since 2009, I have worked as a Special Ballot Officer in several by-elections. In August 2014 I accepted the position of Senior Data and Systems Analyst. During the 44th General Election (2021) I managed a team of 6 data analysts, reporting on a wide variety of electoral / agency activities throughout the event. Since 2009, I have worked in 4 general elections, and 17 byelections.
