Created systems that allow the designers to utilize advanced modeling, simulation, automation and optimization. These systems include: Design (SolidWorks, Catia), analysis (Abaqus, Zemax, Matlab) with Excel for input parameters. These template systems were setup so that the non-expert user could use these advanced techniques. This work was focused on contact lenses, intraocular lenses (IOLs) and surgical equipment for cataract surgery.Product designer of PureVision 2 for Astigmatism. Lead engineer: R+D, clinical, manufacturing, regulatory approval, product launch and post launch. Designed composite military helmets for ground troops and pilots in SolidWorks and Catia. FEA simulations were performed in: Abaqus, MARC and Nastran. Headed up material lab for characterizing composite material properties.

Designed and analyzed naval ships with composite structures in Abaqus using Femap as the pre and post processor. A variety of loading simulations such as: blast, nuclear over-pressure and frequency. Sub-modeling and linear-superposition were heavily used through automation in Mathematica.
