Coordinating research activities for the project “Insertion of Small Farmers into Technology-enabled, Rapid-response Fresh Food Supply Chains”. Some of my tasks include: - Development of industry outreach plan, tracking and on-time completion of project milestones developing and maintaining relationships with external stakeholders (industry and academia), and managing a team of students at ASU. - Development of optimization tools to assist planning and coordination stages in the agricultural supply chain, these tools are also being implemented in the project platform. - Led the implementation of the project's online platform (www.terra-fresh.com), coordinating activities with a team of software and web developers.

The Industrial Assessment Center (IAC) at Arizona State University performs Energy Audits (ASHRAE level 2) to industrial manufacturing companies within Arizona, southern Nevada, and western New Mexico. The focus of the assessments is on energy efficiency, waste reduction, and productivity improvement. Some of the tasks performed during this job were:- Finding and contacting clients for the assessments. Coordinating the pre-assessment information collection and site visit.- Leading complete energy assessments (site visit, interaction with the client, assessment report, post-assessment follow-up)- Leading the team of Industrial Engineering students at the IAC.- Conducting research regarding energy usage, energy savings, with a focus on productivity improvements and their impact on energy consumption.

Consultancy focused on the implementation of Sales & Operation Planning (S&OP) practices within the company, particularly in one of the food manufacturing divisions of Walmart Chile. The job required to work closely with different areas:- Sales: Developing a forecast methodology, analyzing product portfolio and generating metrics to measure the performance of the department.- Operations: Working on methodologies to assess productivity of the lines. Developing a production plan coherent with the sales forecast and client's demand. Evaluating and creating metrics to measure the performance of the production lines.- Supply: Reviewing the inventory management policies in terms of order quantities and frequencies. Improving the communication with the production lines to keep inventory levels updated and develop a forecast of use of raw materials.
