As a Co-Manager, I help the business grow and think of new ideas to make the company better. As the head of the operations staff, I met with clients and manufactured textbook packets for UMass courses. When I became the Operations Manager, I revamped the old paper system and added data analysis to the production system. After analyzing the data from the prior year, I was able to forecast the number of packets sold and create a production schedule which allowed us to produce more packets without outsourcing. Since data analytics worked well for the production system, I created a POS database to bring data analytics to the rest of the business. This lead to the creation of the data analysis committee. On this committee, I ran queries and used that information to think of new services and ideas to help gain revenue and reduce costs. Also, I was the purchaser and bookkeeper, so I was responsible for all the purchase orders and managing the cash flow of the business. I also re-negotiated contracts with suppliers to keep our costs low and retain our high margins.

As a teachers assistant, I was able to not just work alongside the professor to implement the curriculum but I also was able to further my knowledge in quality management by researching and teaching to the students. I was able to monitor the student's progress in the class and offered help when necessary. I graded and recorded class work and homework assignments and assisted students during class and office hours with assignments and projects.

As an intern, I worked with a group of ambassadors to market a start-up real estate company in Amherst. I used my network and marketing efforts to convince potential tenants to book tours of the property. Collaborated with fellow ambassadors to give student perspective to marketing campaigns. I assisted in creating marketing materials for the ambassadors and maintained and managed the 6 social media pages to market the currently available real estates. My duties quickly expanded to creating an AI chat bot for the real estate Facebook page to answer common FAQs about the complex. Also, developing a 3D, virtual reality tour of the lobby and specific apartment styles to give potential tenants a fun, new way to view the apartment. My role grew rapidly because of my persistence and dedication to improving in the business.

As a Zumba Instructor, I work hard making routines with popular music and easy to follow moves to get more participants to partake and keep coming back to my classes. I average about 50-75 students per class so attitude plays a huge part in teaching. My motivation and energy is what drives the classes and helps students push harder to reach their goals. These traits are key to conducting large classes and help me gain leadership skills in the process. I have gained communication skills and networked with other instructors to host joint classes and Zumbathons®. I also focused on marketing my classes to attract more participants which lead to teaching more classes and larger revenue for the gym.
