A APAN é uma associação com personalidade jurídica e sem fins lucrativos, que tem por objetivo específico a defesa, a salvaguarda e a promoção dos interesses dos seus membros em todos os aspetos relacionados com a comunicação comercial.Podem ser membros da APAN todas as pessoas singulares ou coletivas que façam publicidade em Portugal aos seus produtos, bens ou serviços, havendo associados efetivos e associados aderentes, conforme artigo 6º dos estatutos.Os associados da APAN representam atualmente, no seu conjunto, um volume de vendas superior 46.000 milhões de euros, mais de 75.000 postos de trabalho diretos e cerca de 80% do investimento publicitário no nosso país.
