Started as assistant to IT Director with various network and software projects. In 2006 promoted to IT Manager. Provided hardware and software support to 80+ users. Create and manage user accounts in Active Directory. Manage and monitor mailbox issues in Exchange 2007. Manage all backup duties using Symantec Backup Exec. Manage Ports via Cisco Cluster Management Suite web interface. Setup and manage Blackberry users and assist with iPhone and Android configuration. Provide training and technical support for users via telephone, in person, Remote Assistance, and instant messaging. Negotiate with vendors to purchase new technology. Implemented helpdesk ticketing system using TrackIt. Installed and configured monitoring software (GFI) to be alerted of events on entire network, recently migrated monitoring tools to Microsoft System Center Essentials. Work with outside engineers to implement a new virtual environment using Microsoft HyperV. Document and diagram entire network topology. Primarily responsible for daily administration of the VoIP system, setting up voicemail accounts, provide training to new employees. Maintain software license compliance at the firm.
