[He/They]Reginald is a Eugene Cota Robles Fellow, pursuing a Ph.D. in Informatics at The University of California – Irvine. At UCI, they study fighting games as artifacts, the Fighting Game Community (FGC), and esports in university settings. Specifically, they investigate the interactions between the communities’ histories, values, and diversity. Reginald received their B.A. in Political Science from Binghamton University in 2015, focusing their studies on the Middle East and North Africa and interning directly for the University President’s “Roadmap to Premier.” They also received an MS in Student Affairs Administration, a Master of Public Administration, and a Certification in Community College Teaching from Binghamton in 2017. Reginald also has experience teaching Games Studies, HCI, Research Methods, and Critical Writing courses, mentoring new and incoming URM students, working in Student Affairs, designing synchronous or asynchronous learning courses, and reviewing academic literature in HCI, Games Studies, and Higher Education.Since 2020, Reginald has taught courses at UCI and USC, served as President of Associated Graduate Students, chaired the Student Fee Advisory Committee, chaired the UCI Esports Conference, was an IGDA Foundation Scholar, i3 Teaching Fellow, and Oxford Internet Institute SDP scholar, and serves in several campus and systemwide advocacy roles.Persistent Personality Measures:DiSC Assessment: Steady and ConscientiousStrengthQuest: Harmonious, Competitive, and AnalyticalIES: High Interpersonal Engagement, Exploration, & Positive Regard
