I am a multidisciplinary professional specializing in bioarchaeology, biogeochemistry, and forensic anthropology. My expertise lies in researching human and animal migration using strontium and oxygen isotope analysis, as well as employing maximum-likelihood probability estimations. With extensive laboratory and field experience, I have successfully recovered human remains from archaeological and forensic contexts. I have conducted and reviewed cultural resource studies to ensure compliance with state and federal laws, while adhering to the Secretary of Interior Standards as a professional archaeologist. At California Department of Transportation, I have a certified Professionally Qualified Staff level: Principal Investigator in Historical Archaeology and in Prehistoric Archaeology.I have amassed over seven years of expertise in Northern California archaeology, working across prehistoric and historic contexts. Additionally, I have gained five years of archaeological experience in diverse regions such as Texas, Spain, Uzbekistan, Cyprus, and New Zealand. Specifically, three years of experience with New Zealand historic and prehistoric contexts. Historic New Zealand contexts are arguably analogous to historic contexts in California due to the similarity in major events (Gold Rush around 1850 and associated migrant British, Scottish, Irish, and Chinese populations). My research background, coupled with my field and lab experience, has honed my skills in forensic anthropology and archaeology providing me with a solid foundation in skeletal remains analysis and recovery. I possess a meticulous eye for detail, enabling me to uncover valuable insights that contribute to the identification and analysis of human remains. My proficiency in bioarchaeology and biogeochemistry grants me a unique perspective in studying past and modern populations.Currently, I serve as a project archaeologist and liaison between tribal governments and the California Department of Transportation to protect and avoid sensitive cultural resources for a variety of construction projects.
