Developed a new community website for Lenor’s new product range called “Touch Effects”.

Designed and developed a poll client and admin tool for the Xbox Facebook page. The admin allows the client to manage existing/new polls and publish changes to the live web service. The poll itself was written in flash and retrieved the required data from a set of web services.

Working with the head of development, I wrote an API for the Video Encoding web service Hey!Watch. The larger project was to work with the team in the architecture and development of core patterns and practises for Anorak Digital’s new services tools. These services provide common tools exposed through web services to all client applications. The initial services include a news repository manager, member registration, authentication/profile management and website polls.

The project was XCN Central; an Xbox community network website providing support and content for community gaming websites across Europe, the Middle East and Africa. I developed the reporting web UI and backend report generation tools as well as some bug fixes and code optimisations.

Architect and lead the development of an extranet for the BBC’s training and development division to replace their limited existing front end. The application is a learning gateway designed to help BBC staff progress their desired careers; book courses, view their training history, take online courses and manage their own personal development plan.The primary focus was to create a user focused intuitive UI with a strong integrations tier. A logical object model, entities and data tiers with automatic cache management were created as the new gateway for all new developments. The Mootools JavaScript framework was used to create a rich client UI and re-usable class libraries. Comprehensive OO JavaScript with re-usable and extensible class libraries developed to create a rich and intuitive UI.

The first I-Gaming lottery dedicated to Seafarers. This offered weekly lotto draws playable via SMS, web and pre-paid ticket purchases.Responsible for implementing the IT infrastructure of the business. Configuration of web and database servers for critical daily operations. Analyzed, optimised and re-wrote existing website implementation. Multilingual content management, accounts administration, game management, player management. All following government gaming regulations and acceptance testing. Designed and implemented intranet catering for e-marketing, player reporting, pre-paid ticket generation and administration and a SMS server for game play services; implemented a 2 way SMPP service over an IPSek VPN tunnel while working with local mobile provider Go Mobile.Designed and implemented data synchronization services for syncing intranet and live website data.

Working with senior developers of 8+ year’s commercial software development experience greatly increased my knowledge of software design and development particularly in C# and ASP.NETWorking on existing applications, ASP was used for server-side programming connecting to a MS SQL Server 2000 database. Extensive ASP.NET was implemented.

Their client list is impressive; servicing clients such as Aston Martin, Audi, BMW, Chrysler, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Porsche and Mercedes-Benz.Working with ASP, JavaScript, CSS, HTML, CSS and MS Access I was involved in the development of two major Webdesign products; Car Updater (New/Pre-owned car management) and Power Updates (Content Management).Obtained valuable graphic design knowledge and experience from award winning web designer and artist, Dave Blyth.
